after downloading win rar instal that and follow the steps given below.
Right click on your folder software what you want to save.
click on add to archive.. see the picture.  

After clicking on add to archive.. click on advance. when you click on advanced you will see set  password button. see the picture.

click on set a password. set your password and then click on OK see the picture
